Li Wei Young (Tiffany Tang) was born Princess Feng Xin Er, the third daughter of the proud royalty of the Northern Wei Dynasty. Although she never quite gets the affection of her family because she was born on a day deemed one of misfortune, Xin Er is pure of heart and sharp of mind. One fateful night, in a massacre rivaling few others, Xin Er’s kingdom is annihilated. Escaping with her life but now an orphan, Xin Er accidentally wanders into enemy territory. There, she assumes the identity of her savior Li Wei Young, the daughter of a tutor. Full of hatred for the enemy that destroyed her kingdom and lacking in the feminine graces expected in her time, the somewhat arrogant Wei Young has trouble fitting in. But, being both wise and pure of heart, she ultimately learns to channel her hatred towards those who deserve it and become a kinder person overall. And it is exactly her wisdom and humanity that attracts towards her two very different men. Tuoba Jun (Luo Jin) is the beloved, well-educated, kind prince that is favored by all, including the king, and who falls in love with Wei Young. And competing with him is his younger brother Tuoba Yu (Vanness Wu), the cold, menacing and emotionally scarred prince that truly wants to rule the empire, and sees the intelligent Wei Young as his tool and his elder sibling as his rival. Wei Young, however, only has her eyes on one thing: she was not able to save her people. Between the schemes of these two men and living in enemy territory, can Wei Young ever avenge her kingdom? The Princess Weiyoung is based on the novel The Bastard Daughter is Poisonous by Qin Jian. HD this baby. Spoilers beyond this point. Don't read if you hate spoilers. Don't read if you don't want to hear me rant as well. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It took me 5 months to finish this drama, mainly because I was waiting for ENG SUB but also because I knew what awaited me at the end of the series. I kind of hate how they basically summarized the whole drama in the intro and ending song of each episodes. Like yeah I like how I know what is going to happen but at the same time knowing what is going to happen disappoints me big time. It's kind of like my relationship with previews, I love it but I hate it too. Overall, I LOVED IT (the drama). I have never finished a drama over 50+ episodes without skipping episodes or skipping a lot of the parts. This drama was just that interesting to me. Mainly because I loved the main pair together as well (Luo Jin+Tiffany Tang). You guys have no idea how happy I was when I heard they were dating irl. However the news of them dating irl didn't satisfy my sadness and madness of the ending in this drama. Yes he dies. LIKE WHY?!!? I asked myself, "hey couldn't they spilt the pill in half?" It probably wouldn't have worked all of it's magic but hey you never know! Their chemistry was off the charts, but I would've loved more kiss scenes as well hehe. He loved her so much too! The ending literally made me balled. Like please don't go! Stay with her, love her, and have more babies! I especially loved when he said, "Without my empress, power and sovereignty means nothing to me." JUST RIP MY HEART OUT AND SHRED IT TO PIECES NOW WOULD YOU?! :((( I knew he was going to die in the end because I looked up info related to the drama and found videos and clips and found out he was going to die when I literally was just beginning the drama. Which is why it took me so long to finish this drama, because I knew I was setting myself up for a heartbreak. BUT I'm glad I finished it because there were a lot of sweet moments. So, if you didn't finish or haven't started this drama. Do so. Even though your heart will cry and break in the end, they show you some real love. Sorry for my long rant, I can't rant anywhere else or tell people of my craziness, so..sorry. Heh. You guys can always rant to me if you like as well. I like knowing I'm not the only crazy one... Thanks for watching, and reading if you got this far. :) Drama: The Princess Weiyoung Song: Next Life by Li QI Translation do not belong to me: Thanks to the person who provided these wonderful translation: https://asianeuphoria.com/2016/12/08/lyrics-li-qi-next-life/ I don't own anything.
