**Read description for answers to frequently asked questions** the first stock market video is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwd3C2Cq9H0 As I say many times in the video, this is simply the way that I personally trade. That does not mean that it is for everyone. There are countless different approaches that one could have to the stock market, and none of them are strictly right or wrong. Don't ever follow exactly what any one person tells you when it comes to the stock market - including me! Do your research and come to your own conclusions. QUESTIONS Q. Do you day trade? A. Essentially, no. I rarely day trade. I think that since I have started trading, I have only done 2 or 3 day trades. Q. Your chart assumes that you can identify highs and lows - how is that possible? A. It's not. My chart was a very basic version of the way in which I trade - very basic. If I could re-film the video, I would put more emphasis on identifying highs and lows - the emphasis being that you can never 100% identify them. If you trade, as I showed later in my chart, sometimes you will sell and the stock will skyrocket. Or, quite often, you will buy and the stock will plummet. It happens, and of course I experience this all the time. Q. How long do you hold stocks? A. This varies greatly, and can be anywhere from 1 day to months. On average, I probably hold stocks approximately 3 days - 1 week. Q. So, you are making this video to advise people to start trading? A. No. Absolutely not. I would be more likely to encourage people NOT to trade on the stock market than I would be to do vice versa. Q. So, you trade off your base of $10k, and live off of that? A. No. $10k is what I started with in my account two years ago. It is not what is in my account now. Q. Can you give me advice on...? A. No. Although I would love to help everyone, I am not the best means of advice for you. I am not trying to give anyone advice here - I am simply sharing a bit of insight into what my job as a stock trader looks like. I am not a licensed financial advisor, and I would not ever presume to give anyone financial advice. Please do your research and be careful! Q. You don't seem like a professional trader...? A. I am not really concerned with how professional I "seem." I am making a living, and that is the most important thing to me. I did not go to school for this, or ever take any classes on the stock market. I did my own research and taught myself all that I know about the market. I am not worried about seeming professional - I am only concerned about making money on the stock market. Q. Can you give us proof / screenshot your personal account info / banking info so that I believe you? A. No. If you do not "believe me," please don't expect me to care. Q. I want to make some quick cash. Should I invest in the stock market? A. No. Absolutely not. Q. Can you film yourself actually trading on the market? A. No - for various reasons. One, if you are imagining that my actual trading will be anywhere near as engaging as that not-very-exciting chart, you are mistaken. Perhaps if I was day trading, this would not be the case, but when I buy a stock, I simply click a button the says "buy." That's it... And then I wait for days, weeks, perhaps months. There is nothing thrilling to see here. Also, it would be a bother to block out all of my account numbers and all that. Sorry. SOCIALS Instagram - travellight21 Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/travellight21/ Twitter - https://twitter.com/Travellight_ http://travellight.me Why do I trade on TD Ameritrade? - They have strong research reports - They have great trading tools, such as Thinkorswim - They have a great mobile app that allows me to trade on the go - They have amazing customer service - There are no hidden fees, such as maintaining a minimum balance I explained this in the original cut of my video, but it was just getting too long! **And no, I am not sponsored in any way by TD Ameritrade, I just like their trading platform and wanted to give you guys an explanation of why that is. A lot of people also highly recommend Scottrade, which has lower fees than Ameritrade. Whatever works for you!** DISCLAIMER This video is for entertainment purposes only. Join me as I go on a walk around Shinjuku, a major government and business district in Tokyo, exploring the living conditions of the visible homeless. Disclaimer: Everything presented is simply my observations and some anecdotes I've heard. This is the start of my investigation into the homeless issues that Japan faces, so take what I say as uninformed opinion, not fact. This is very early on in my research, but I wanted to share what I've seen so far. What prompted me to investigate homelessness, is that the visible homeless in Tokyo seem quite different than the visible homeless I encountered in Vancouver, Canada or in San Francisco, United States. In Vancouver, you can see many homeless that suffer from mental illness, have drug and drinking addictions, and are survivors of abuse. In San Francisco, the homeless I encountered were more visible in the well-trafficked areas and were vocal in their begging. In Tokyo, the homeless seem to be quiet, respectful of others, and organized (in that they kept their belonging relatively tidy). They also didn't appear to suffer from apparent mental issues. They seemed to have their act together enough that I figure they would be able to make use of the social safety net and not have to live on the streets. So why are they on the streets? In the video, and even in writing this, I'm very worried about the terminology that I've used. The homeless are marginalized and I don't want to marginalize them even more. So I'm struggling with coming up with the right way to phrase things, and I'm afraid I haven't done the best of jobs. So if it's not apparent, here's my stance. I think we live in wealthy societies and that poorest and unfortunate should be able to live in peace and comfort, as well as given opportunities to ameliorate their situation. How this is achieved, I don't think we quite know yet, otherwise homelessness wouldn't be an issue. I didn't ask this in the video, but what kind of questions around homeless in Tokyo/Japan do you think I should investigating. And as I did ask in the video, what does the visible homeless (and the non-visible as well) look like where you're from? An old hymn that reminds today's church that there is still much to be accomplished when believers meet together to worship.
EP 069: How an aggressive trader thinks, uses options, and made $1.4M on a single TSLA trade – John Carter John is an options trader (and also futures, to a slightly lesser extent), he’s been trading for around about 25 years now. His typical holding time for any given trade is just a couple days, and he classifies himself as an aggressive trader – which I think you’ll pick up on pretty quickly. In this interview, you’ll hear I ask John about the multiple boom ‘n bust cycles he endured over the space of about 8 years before gaining real consistency. I also ask, is a high risk tolerance essential for becoming a successful trader? Then we get into some talk about options, and John has some really great advice for those who are still trying to find their feet. Additionally, we talk about indicators and technical analysis, and we go step-by-step through John’s million dollar TSLA trade. - - - - - - LINKS - - - - - - · More interviews: https://chatwithtraders.com · Free resources: https://chatwithtraders.com/resources · Sponsored by Technician: http://technicianapp.com/ · Twitter: https://twitter.com/chatwithtraders · Facebook: http://facebook.com/chatwithtraders · Instagram: https://instagram.com/chatwithtraders_ · Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/chat-with-traders · Stitcher: http://www.stitcher.com/podcast/chat-with-traders
Hi guys! This is my dunk journey so far and I will keep going. I'm 5'5 filipino with 6'11 reach and 125-127lbs. I started squatting with 85lbs(8reps)2012 and now I squat 235lbs(7-8reps)..I started it off at 2014 because I don't have any recordings of me jumping at 2012 since I jumped pretty low there was no point to record it because I never ever planned or thought I would get this far or make a journey video.
