A bit cold today in Chicago!
My commute from Humboldt Park to the West Loop (Chicago). Shot with helmet-mounted GoPro Hero. (Note: I know it would be better with music.)
Since we talk about living in New York quite a bit on GeekNights, this is a POV video of my typical bicycle commute home. It takes me about 26 minutes (including stops for traffic/lights) to bike from City Hall to LIC along the East Side of Manhattan. Recorded with Google Glass. Avg Speed (including traffic): 18.1mph Max Speed: ~36MPH Strava map: https://t.co/R9p6lQSVgs --- Don't worry: I promise that this isn't the beginning of a tide of biking videos. The next one is either gaming or Utena. Pinkie swear.
Just got a boosted board ~4 weeks ago. This is my ~5 mile morning NYC commute from Astoria to Midtown.
CHICAGO — A man from Wicker Park bikes to work like many Chicago residents do, but his commute is a bit longer than most. The trek to his job in Glenview is 20 miles, each way. For the past 5 years he has made the daily commute on his bike. Not even the Chicago weather can stop him. Rain, snow, and ice are no problem. He said he’s had his job too long to leave and he loves his neighborhood too much to move. He doesn’t plan on stopping the daily cycling journey anytime soon. WGN Meteorologist Demetrius Ivory introduces us to him in the video player above
