Another award-giving body called the Golden Screen Awards (im not sure if this is the break-away group from PMPC) on its 3rd year has unveiled its list of nominees for their turn to give trophies on August 30. Blue Moon seems to be their favorite by giving this regal movie and a Jennylyn Mercado and Mark Herras starrer the most number of nominations—12 to be exact! On second place is Robin Padillas La Visa Loca with 7 nominations. While Famas is still suspended to give awards this year, why not settle for The Golden Screen and more award giving bodies on the line-up. Theres another one called Empress but im not sure if this is theirs or its another separate entity. Anyway, here are the nominees: Best Motion Picture-Drama: Blue Moon (Regal Entertainment) Dubai (Star Cinema Productions) Exodus (Imus Productions/Reality Films) Mulawin: The Movie (GMA Films and Regal Entertainment) Nasaan Ka Man (Star Cinema Productions) Best Motion Picture-Musical or Comedy: Ako Legal Wife (Regal Entertainment) Bikini Open (Seiko Films) Can This Be Love (Star Cinema Productions) La Visa Loca (Unitel Films) Best Motion Picture-Independent/Digital: Ala Verde Ala Pobre (Muchachos Bravos Filmworks) Ang Daan Patungong Kalimugtong (Sampay Bakod Productions) Ang Pagdadalaga Ni Maximo Oliveros (UFO Pictures) Ilusyon (Digital Viva) Mga Pusang Gala (Erasto Films/MLR Films) Pepot Artista (Buruka Films) Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role-Drama: Irma Adlawan (North Diversion Road) Ana Capri (Ala Verde Ala Pobre) Jaclyn Jose (Sarung Banggi) Jennylyn Mercado (Blue Moon) Meryll Soriano (Room Boy) Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role-Drama: John Arcilla (North Diversion Road) Carlo Aquino (Sa Aking Pagkagising Mula sa Kamulatan) Ricky Davao (Mga Pusang Gala) Eddie Garcia (Blue Moon) Aga Muhlach (Dubai) Yul Servo (Ilusyon) Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role-Musical or Comedy: Jennylyn Mercado (Lovestruck) Zsa Zsa Padilla (Ako Legal Wife) Sandara Park (Can This Be Love) Cherry Pie Picache (Bikini Open) Rufa Mae Quinto (La Visa Loca) Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role-Musical or Comedy: Hero Angeles (Can This Be Love) Jay Manalo (Ako Legal Wife) Robin Padilla (La Visa Loca) Piolo Pascual (Dreamboy) Jeffrey Quizon (Lasponggols) Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role-Drama, Musical or Comedy: Boots Anson-Roa (Blue Moon) Claudine Barretto (Dubai) Gloria Diaz (Nasaan Ka Man) Hilda Koronel (Nasaan Ka Man) Cherry Pie Picache (Ako Legal Wife) Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role-Drama, Musical or Comedy: Soliman Cruz (Ang Pagdadalaga Ni Maximo Oliveros) Ketchup Eusebio (Sa Aking Pagkagising Mula sa Kamulatan) Alcris Galura (Mga Pusang Gala) Ping Medina (Ang Pagdadalaga Ni Maximo Oliveros) Michael de Mesa (Big Time) Dennis Trillo (Blue Moon)

Daniel and Andrea grew up in the same home and have been closer than real brothers and sisters ever since. But her father's goodwill to take in Daniel and bring him up does not sit well with her real older brother, who retaliates one day and kicks Daniel out. But by this time, nothing can come between the deeply in love Andrea and Daniel anymore--until the rich family on whose hacienda they've been working all these years come back. Andrea catches the eye of the rich son, while the daughter fancies Daniel, too. This will set in motion a series of events that will test how deep the two's love goes.
