The Museum of Nature & Science is the proud partner for FIRST LEGO® League in North Texas. This was the 4th annual tournament, hosted at The Hockaday School on Saturday, January 21, 2012. Students competed in a robotics tournament, learning math science and technology, teamwork, leadership and gracious professionalism. XS NRG were the first place victors of the competition and were invited to the World Festival in St. Louis, MO, on April 25 - 28. The hIPer G33ks received the 2nd place Champion's Award and will be invited to the FIRST® LEGO® League North American Open at LEGOLAND® California on May 18 - 20. Both Champion's Award teams were recognized for fully embracing the FLL Core Values while achieving excellence and innovation in the robot game and project during this season's FLL robotics competition challenge dubbed "Food Factor." On August 4 The Cool Inventors Association, team 1493 from Santa Barbara, California built and set up to the best of their abilities this year's robot game mat. They are pretty sure about the location of most of the elements. Some set up is not correct, we are sure, but we are thinking about it!
